The International Chemistry Olympiad was held from July 10 to 18 and organized by Nankai University in Tianjin. This year 85 countries participated with 326 students. The theme was: “Change, Creation, Fusion”. The Dutch team achieved a great result with bronze (Niels Manning) and two ‘Honorable Mentions’ Gijs van Helsdingen and Mitchell Rikken! The lectures by Dow employees in Terneuzen during the National Chemistry Olympiad week and the multi-day crash course in chemistry at the University of Amsterdam and VU University have contributed in achieving this result. Congratulations!
