Next generations must also be able to live in a Netherlands with good care, good education, a liveable environment and they must be left with enough money to spend themselves. In the event of a future economic crisis, it is important to be able to deal with the consequences without direct cutbacks.
This requires economic growth. Over the next five years, the Cabinet will allocate a total of 20 billion euros for investments that will contribute to this.
