Circular recycling of magnesium in the mineral struvite is possible, according to reports from SusPhos. As a result, the magnesium recovered from wastewater can now be converted into functional, pure magnesium products for reuse on the market. SusPhos received a boost in 2019 when it won the Gouden KIEM award, which was a joint prize of ChemistryNL and NWO at the time.
