NWO has published the third call for proposals of R&D programme Groenvermogen NL, financed by the National Growth Fund. This current Call for proposals concerns NGF: Socio-economic aspects and the implementation of Hydrogen, GroenvermogenNL WP7, and focuses on socioeconomic factors that influence the introduction of hydrogen in the energy system, and the prerequisites and possibilities for a rapid and substantial upscaling.
The application deadline for the preparatory workshops is September 19, 2023, before 2:00 PM CEST. The deadline for submitting the application is January 30, 2024, before 2:00 PM CEST.
Aim of the call
The call aims to optimise the multi-faceted research and innovation programme GroenvermogenNL, in this case in the subfield concerning the socio-economic aspects and implementation of hydrogen in society. Because in addition to a technological transition, a socio-economic transition is necessary to achieve a sustainable society.
This so-called Work Package 7 deals with the necessary system innovation required for the effective and efficient deployment of hydrogen as a green energy carrier. This call encourages research into factors affecting the introduction of hydrogen into the energy system and into preconditions and the possibilities of rapid and substantial scale-up.
