Pieter Bruijnincx joins the Supervisory Board

Prof. Dr. Pieter Bruijnincx has joined the Supervisory Board of TKI Green Chemistry and Circularity. He succeeds Annemiek ter Heijne and brings extensive expertise in sustainable chemistry, catalysis, and circular feedstocks.

Bruijnincx is Professor of Sustainable Chemistry & Catalysis at Utrecht University. His research focuses on sustainable chemistry, circular feedstocks, and the development of innovative conversion pathways for, among others, biomass, with a strong emphasis on Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design principles. In this role, he works closely with public and industrial partners to advance solutions for the circular economy.

With the appointment of Bruijnincx, TKI Green Chemistry and Circularity further strengthens its ambition to accelerate innovation in sustainable chemistry and circularity. His expertise closely aligns with the societal and industrial challenges surrounding the transition to renewable and circular feedstocks, circularity, and sustainable production processes.
