Annemiek ter Heijne has joined the Board of Directors of TKI Green Chemistry and Circularity. Decisions about the policy, activities and financing of the TKI agency are made by the Board of Directors.
Annemiek is professor of (Bio)Recovery Technology for Circular Economy at the Environmental Technology department of Wageningen University & Research. Her group focuses on the design of circular technologies to close loops between cities, industry and agriculture. The emphasis is on carbon and nutrient cycles, and how (sustainable) energy can be used as efficiently as possible. The aim is to arrive at innovations that can be applied together with the business community. This creates a strong connection with the objectives of ChemistryNL and the TKI Green Chemistry and Circularity.
The other members of the Board of Directors are Jacqueline Vaessen, Tom van Aken and Moniek Tromp.
