ChemistryNL is investing in 22 new research and innovation projects in the fields of sustainable chemistry and circularity. Twenty new public-private partnership projects have been selected through the 2026 PPS-I call. In addition, ChemistryNL is investing TKI PPP Allowance in two additional research projects.
For the 2026 PPS-I call, ChemistryNL made almost €7.7 million available. Researchers and companies were invited to submit proposals between 17 February and 14 April 2026 for projects in which knowledge institutions and companies work together on new technologies and applications for a more sustainable chemical industry.
The selected projects cover four themes:
- safe alternatives to substances of very high concern (SVHCs);
- AI readiness for the Dutch chemical processing industry;
- sustainable chemistry for health, food security and packaging;
- transformation towards sustainable production.
A total of twenty projects have been selected, representing a combined PPS-I budget of approximately €7.4 million. Through these projects, ChemistryNL supports public-private collaboration on key technological and societal challenges facing the Dutch chemical sector.
In addition to the projects selected through the PPS-I call, ChemistryNL is investing €422,000 in TKI PPP Allowance in two additional research projects. This brings the total number of newly funded projects to 22.
With these investments, ChemistryNL aims to strengthen collaboration between companies and knowledge institutions and accelerate the development and application of innovative solutions for a sustainable and circular chemical industry.
