From May 7, the new subsidy round of the Circular Economy Knowledge and Innovation Agenda will be open for the development of circular products, services and processes. A total of 2.5 million euros in support is available for developments within the manufacturing industry and for consumer goods. There will be an information meeting on May 16.
We currently consume far more raw materials than the earth can produce. This is not sustainable in the long term and that is why we must make the transition to a circular economy in which raw materials are optimally used and reused. The Circular Economy Knowledge and Innovation Agenda (KIA CE) stimulates the development of knowledge and innovation necessary to achieve a circular economy. One of the resources is the KIA CE subsidy scheme.
2.5 million for circular manufacturing industry and consumer goods
The fourth tender of this scheme was opened between May 7 and August 15. A total of 2.5 million euros budget is available for the development of circular products, processes and/or services. This involves technological research and development of new or significantly improved products, services and processes and research into consumer behavior, business or revenue models. The scheme is open for two product groups:
- Manufacturing industry: capital goods, electrolysers and batteries for light electric transport
- Consumer goods: electrical and electronic appliances, furniture, textiles and non-plastic packaging and disposable products
Information and matchmaking meeting
An information meeting will be held in Amersfoort on May 16 in which the rules and conditions of the subsidy scheme will be explained and in which participants can have their project idea tested. The meeting is also a great opportunity to develop partnerships with other companies and research institutions.
