Student team wins competition with hydrogen storage

The ASTP Challenge on Circular Economy by COAST, sponsored by ChemistryNL, once again yielded a number of enthusiastic and interesting entries this year. After an earlier preliminary round, it was time for the grand finale last week in which all teams presented their work by means of a pitch and a poster.

The winning team managed to win the main prize with their idea for a hydrogen storage tank. In addition to a cash prize, the team also gets the opportunity to present their concept during LabTechnology 2025. The second prize went to the team that had worked on a new concept for wind turbine blades.

ChemistryNL sponsors several student competitions every year. The idea behind it is to use the competitions to get students excited about chemistry education in general and innovation in particular.
