NWO is allocating 7.5 million euros for projects in which relatively small consortia work on the development of knowledge and groundbreaking innovations, including in the field of the circular economy. The idea is that the consortia will eventually grow into a sustainable public-private partnership.
The new NWO program is the development site for consortia of knowledge institutions and private parties that want to convert a shared knowledge and/or development question into a coherent impact-driven research proposal. The research must always be in line with one or more KIAs of the Mission-driven Innovation policy.
For an application in this call, a minimum of €250,000 and a maximum of €750,000 can be requested in NWO funding. NWO thus finances a maximum of 50% of the total project size; the rest of the project budget is contributed through mandatory co-financing. The duration of the project is between 2 years and 6 years. The deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday, November 5, 2024, before 2:00 PM.
