The National Investment Scheme for Climate Projects in Industry (NIKI) provides entrepreneurs with a subsidy to commercially scale up innovative technologies that reduce CO2 and other gas emissions.
The subsidy covers both investment and operating costs. The amount of the subsidy depends on the difference between the cost price and the market price of the products produced.
Proposals can be submitted until September 30th. The subsidy for a NIKI project is at least €30 million. A total budget of €211 million is available.
