The PPS-I 2026 Call Chemistry &amp; Materials for Defence is coordinated by ChemistryNL. <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><\/span><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchor\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"551\" data-end=\"899\">The call focuses on innovations that strengthen both the Dutch knowledge position and Europe&#8217;s strategic autonomy. Projects may cover the entire innovation chain, from fundamental research to experimental development in a civilian environment. The funding is intended for public-private consortia consisting of knowledge institutions and companies.<\/p>\n<p data-section-id=\"1vpk6tg\" data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"927\"><strong>Three innovation themes<br \/>\n<\/strong>Projects should address one or more of the following themes:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1059\">\n<li data-section-id=\"6o9gzm\" data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1005\">Coatings\n<ul data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1059\">\n<li data-section-id=\"6o9gzm\" data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1005\">Corrosion protection<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"6o9gzm\" data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1005\">Alternatives to hexavalent chromium (chromium VI)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"6o9gzm\" data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1005\">Reducing detectability and electromagnetic signatures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"lubtoa\" data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1030\">Technical ceramics\n<ul data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1059\">\n<li data-section-id=\"lubtoa\" data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1030\">Lightweight protective materials<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"lubtoa\" data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1030\">Hybrid ceramic structures<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"lubtoa\" data-start=\"1006\" data-end=\"1030\">Novel manufacturing and repair techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1th2kni\" data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1059\">Additive manufacturing\n<ul data-start=\"991\" data-end=\"1059\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1th2kni\" data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1059\">New materials for 3D printing<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1th2kni\" data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1059\">On-site production of components<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1th2kni\" data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1059\">Recycle by Design<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1th2kni\" data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1059\">Reducing dependence on critical raw materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Budget<\/strong><br \/>\nTotal available budget: \u20ac3,760,000<br \/>\nMaximum grant per project: \u20ac500,000<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who can apply?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe call is open to public-private consortia consisting of Dutch research organisations, SMEs and large companies.
