On 12 October, the government and industry are organising a mini-symposium on the theme: Revision of REACH, a time of transitions for the chemical industry. The speakers come from science, business and government. The mini symposium takes place in The Hague and can also be followed online.
During the mini symposium on 12 October, we will discuss the transition to a sustainable chemicals policy. The EU has drawn up the sustainable chemicals strategy. An important part of this is the adaptation of the REACH regulation. In addition to this transition, the chemical industry must also comply with other transitions. How do they deal with the adaptation of REACH and the implementation of the transitions?
From a government perspective, the business community and civil society, there will be presentations about the commitment to the revision of REACH, the road to the transition with regard to chemicals and other transitions (circular, climate and digitization), and the necessity of these transitions for a safe and healthy living environment.
The Minisymposium Stoffen is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management together with VNO-NCW, VNCI and WECF. It takes place from 13:00 to 17:00 in De Malietoren in The Hague and can also be followed online.
