Re-carbonizing the Chemical Industry by Electrification
On December 11th 12.30-18.00, the shared innovation program VoltaChem will host its 5th Annual Event in Amsterdam. Leading (inter)national experts will explore the topic of Re-carbonizing the Chemical Industry by Electrification during highly interactive plenary and parallel sessions. Keynote speakers of the plenary session are Ernst Homburg (Emeritus Professor of History of Science and Technology, Maastricht University), Michael Carus (managing director of the nova-Institute), and Pierre Barthelemy (Executive Director Research and Innovation, Cefic). Professor Homburg will share his view on historic transformations of the chemical industry. Michael Carus will talk about the ongoing transition to a fully re-carbonized industry. And Pierre Barthelemy will discuss Cefic’s Phoenix Initiative to use CO2 as a resource for the chemical industry.
Subsequently, there will be three in-depth parallel sessions on VoltaChem’s value chains: Fuels, Fertilizers, and Plastics. Speakers include representatives from companies like SkyNRG, DSM, Roselight Ventures, Interatec, Proton Ventures, and TNO. With short elevator pitches and discussion on the contribution of their innovation to making the industry run entirely on circular carbon.
VoltaChem’s Annual Event is organized in collaboration with the European Industry & Energy Summit.
